or 25 Christmas Lane in Frankenmuth, all year long!

The
Bronner family and staff wish you a blessed celebration
of the birth of Jesus, our Savior. We’re committed
to keeping the true meaning of Christmas at our business
forefront as expressed by Bronner’s motto, “Enjoy
CHRISTmas, It’s His Birthday; Enjoy Life, It’s
His Way.” Originator Wally enjoyed Christmas
and enjoyed life, and hoped for everyone to know the
joy of the Christ of Christmas.
As
Wally so loved to share: “May the joy of CHRISTmas
decorate your hearts with hope, love and peace 365
days a year.”

Made
to Last a Lifetime … or Longer
The
first Bronner-exclusive, life-size fiberglass Nativity sold by Bronner’s
to the City of Hastings returned to Bronner’s on Saturday,
September 12, to be repaired and re-painted by Billy Budd. Angie
Baxter, commercial salesperson, currently handles the account. Originally
purchased in 1968, the Nativity was previously refurbished by Billy
in 1999. Angie has the original 1968 order form from the City of
Hastings in her file.
Glenn
“Shemy” Schembechler “Touched Down” Bronner’s
in October
Glenn
“Shemy” Schembechler, scout for the Washington Redskins
and son of the late U of M football coach, Glenn “Bo”
Schembechler, visited Bronner’s in October. Shemy visited
Bronner’s with his parents when he was 16 years old. A picture
taken with Wally Bronner from that visit is on display in the penning
department.

This
new photo with Bronner staff records Shemy’s most recent visit.

Salvation
Army Stirred Up Red Kettle Drive
Support at Bronner’s
The Salvation Army of Saginaw County kicked off its 2009 red kettle
drive on Monday, November 9, at 3:30 p.m. outside the west entrance
of Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth. The 15-minute
program featured a brief address by Major Wayne Ruston and Carla
Bronner Spletzer, vice president of Bronner’s. The world’s
largest red kettle, weighing 1,650 lbs. and measuring 5-foot-wide
by 7-foot-tall, was on site for the kickoff. The Bronner family
presented a check of $1000 to help start the drive. Refreshments
were provided by Tim Horton’s of Frankenmuth.

Supporters
were encouraged to watch and listen for bell ringers throughout
the holiday season, and drop off their donations at any of 42 red-kettle
business locations throughout Saginaw County. Some businesses, like
Bronner’s, do not host bell ringers but invite guests to place
donations to the Salvation Army in canisters located at checkout
and exit areas. Donations can also be mailed to the Salvation Army
office. Thank you to everyone who helps those in need during the
holiday season and throughout the year.

Tradition
of the Snowman
For centuries, children have gleefully awaited the winter's first
snowfall. Rolling large balls of that fluffy gift from heaven,
they delight in making their own special companion. Completed
with a carrot for a nose, coal for the eyes and mouth, and sticks
for arms, the snowman truly does come to life for the children
who created their frosty friend.
