Welcome to Beamer’s Holiday Beat, Bronner’s e-newsletter
for everyone who shares my passion for Christmas, which is only
206 days away!
New
items have begun arriving this spring. Bronner’s receiving
department will be bursting at the seams as new product arrival
peaks in July and exciting, new items quickly make their way into
the store.
Wonder
what’s going to be hot this fall? Personalized trims and LED
lights continue to be big. Some of Bronner’s new, exclusive
ornaments for 2009 are a baseball cap, curling iron, TV remote,
traveler’s wheeled suitcase and tire with chrome hubcap –
all can be personalized. Several new Nativities are available, too.
Jim Shore is in on the action with a kneeling Santa ornament, Seven
Dwarf figurines in personality poses, and a 10-inch fabric Santa
with Raggedy Ann. (Just announced: Jim Shore signing at Bronner's
on November 7 - stay tuned for details). Popular colors for 2009
include purple and teal (peacock colors), silver, red and apple
green. Red seems to be especially dominate in florals and ribbons.
I
really enjoy hearing from you so please take time to answer my survey
question about social media. Responses will appear in survey form
in the next quarterly e-newsletter.
Thank
you for inviting me into your home. You’re welcome at my home,
www.bronners.com
or 25 Christmas Lane in Frankenmuth, all year long!

Paint-N-Go
Primes Its Brushes
Bronner’s Paint-N-Go promotion began June 1 and will run daily
through November 1. The painter will be located in section 8. Guests
may order Paint-N-Go personalized ornaments at the personalization
counter in section 8. The ornament(s) will be available for pickup
at the counter in one or two hours. Paint-N-Go is tentatively scheduled
to continue weekdays only from November 2 through 13.
One
Christmas in the mid 1960s, Wally Bronner handpainted names on ornaments
as gifts for staff members’ children. Because requests for
the ornaments began coming in, Bronner’s started a personalized
ornament department in 1967.

Summer
Blooms in Frankenmuth
Willkommen to Frankenmuth in Bloom. Our streets blush with the colors
of spring and summer, and now is the time to enjoy our charming
curb appeal. Every inch of our town is artfully landscaped with
bright seasonal flowers, lilacs, evergreens and blossoming trees.
In fact, our streetscape has been nationally recognized as an “America
in Bloom” champion for our outstanding landscaping, floral
displays and parks.
Over
this past winter, Frankenmuth’s horticulturist sketched out
the landscape design, working closely with regional growers to find
exciting new varieties of flowers as well as traditional favorites.
Hundreds of flats of flowers and more than 2000 individual pots
are planted by the city’s Clean Team in May. In addition,
400 locally grown hanging baskets pepper the street’s quilt
of colors in hues of yellow, red, purple, pink, blue and green.

We welcome
you to visit Frankenmuth through all the seasons. But we are especially
excited to share our beautiful blooms with you this summer. To see
more or to sign up to receive Frankenmuth’s e-newsletter,

Legend
of the Sand Dollar
According
to legend, the sand dollar was left by Christ. On one side, a
Christmas poinsettia is represented to symbolize his birth, and
on the other side, an Easter lily to remind us of his resurrection.
If a sand dollar is broken, five white doves will be released
to spread peace and goodwill.
