Tradition of the Painted Egg
The Eastern European tradition of painting eggs developed as a result of their exchange as Easter presents. In many countries, eggs were a symbol of eternal life. The egg was likened to the tomb from which Christ arose. A desire to enhance the beauty of these Easter gifts led to the folk tradition of egg painting.
Symbol
card is included. |

Bronner’s
Flavorful Favorites*
We thought you might like to try one of the recipes from "Bronner’s
Flavorful Favorites, Book 2." The cookbook features
over 400 recipes submitted by Bronner’s staff and is available
online or in-store for $14.99.
Baby Spinach-Asparagus-Chicken Salad
1 bunch fresh asparagus
1 pkg. frozen raspberries
1 small bag fresh baby spinach
½ pkg. Tyson grilled chicken strips
1 cup fresh raspberries
1 pkg. pine nuts
Steam asparagus until tender but has a slight crunch. Take slightly thawed raspberries and place in a blender. Purée until smooth. This will be used for the salad dressing. Place a bed of baby spinach on a plate. Place 3 or 4 sprigs of asparagus on top of spinach. Add a few grilled chicken strips. Top with some raspberries and pine nuts. Pour puréed raspberries over salad.
