'Tis the Season
Welcome to Beamer's Holiday Beat, Bronner's enewsletter for everyone who shares my passion for Christmas. (Did you know there are only 287 days until Christmas!)

Bronner's buyers have returned from the winter trade shows and are busy placing orders for beautiful new products to fill your decorating and gift-giving needs. Work on Bronner's exclusive 2012 Holy Family form ornament continues, and the final sample, under production in Poland, is nearly complete. View the round annual ornament, already available. Click here for more info. Bronner's 2012/2013 catalog, Bronner's Christmas Favorites, is under construction. In addition to finalizing orders for all items that will appear in the new publication, the catalog team is also designing striking new covers.

Daylight-savings time has begun on Sunday, March 11, and the spring equinox arrives on Tuesday, March 20. It is said that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. We are looking forward to warm spring breezes and the joyous celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 8. Blessed Easter and Happy Spring to you all!

Thank you for inviting me into your home. You’re welcome at my home, www.bronners.com or 25 Christmas Lane in Frankenmuth, all year long!

    Yule Go Down in History

    Tradition of the Painted Egg

The Eastern European tradition of painting eggs developed as a result of their exchange as Easter presents. In many countries, eggs were a symbol of eternal life. The egg was likened to the tomb from which Christ arose. A desire to enhance the beauty of these Easter gifts led to the folk tradition of egg painting.

    Symbol card is included.

    Bronner’s Flavorful Favorites*
We thought you might like to try one of the recipes from "Bronner’s Flavorful Favorites, Book 2." The cookbook features over 400 recipes submitted by Bronner’s staff and is available online or in-store for $14.99.

    Baby Spinach-Asparagus-Chicken Salad
    1 bunch fresh asparagus
    1 pkg. frozen raspberries
1 small bag fresh baby spinach
½ pkg. Tyson grilled chicken strips
    1 cup fresh raspberries
    1 pkg. pine nuts

Steam asparagus until tender but has a slight crunch. Take slightly thawed raspberries and place in a blender. Purée until smooth. This will be used for the salad dressing. Place a bed of baby spinach on a plate. Place 3 or 4 sprigs of asparagus on top of spinach. Add a few grilled chicken strips. Top with some raspberries and pine nuts. Pour puréed raspberries over salad.
